Our Mission is
to create a positive environment where young people can enhance
their skills and performance in Gymnastics, Dance and Physical
Fitness. We encourage and challenge every young person to
achieve their "personal best" by strengthening their
body, their self-esteem and their confidence.
With these goals
in mind, Mercury offers you and your children a clean, safe,
and fun environment and the highest quality coaching staff
in the Kansas City area. Our staff shares and adheres to the
philosophies and mission of Mercury Gymnastics.
To accomplish
these goals, we ask your help in
adhering to the following basic rules.
1. Only registered
gymnasts are allowed beyond the gate. A coach will greet your
child in the observation area and lead them down to the gymnastics
area. We ask all parents that participate on the gymnastic
floor to please leave their street shoes upstairs in a purple
basket.
2. To help assist
us in properly warming up your child for the class, we ask
that your child be ready on time. We ask that each gymnast
dress properly: shoes and socks placed in a purple basket,
long hair tied back, no gum, and appropriate leotard or t-shirt
and shorts. Also make sure your child utilizes the bathroom
before class. This will help your teacher stay on track and
not have to accompany your child back upstairs for the bathroom
breaks.
3. Parents are
welcome to stay and watch during class. We ask that parents
do not disturb their child's class by coaching them from upstairs.
This is very disrupting to your child and their class. We
also ask that you do not stand at the railing, this blocks
other people from observing their children.
4. All food and
drink MUST stay in the concession area. This will help keep
mercury clean and safe.
5. If siblings
are brought, we ask you to properly supervise them and not
allow them to run around. During inclement weather, the concrete
floor can be slippery from moisture brought in on people's
shoes.
6. Remember,
tuition is due on the 15th of the month prior. Ex. September's
tuition is due on the 15 of August. To insure your child has
a spot in a class, please pay their tuition on time. Accounts
not up to date may result in your child being dropped from
their class.
Our goal is to
make your child's experience at Mercury fun-filled and educational.
Your child's abilities will be evaluated ongoing. Twice a
year, in December and May, your child's teacher will go over
your child's skill card with you so you can see their progress.
If you have any questions or comments about your child's class
or performance before evaluations, please feel free to talk
to your child's coach before or after class or make an appointment
at the front desk.
Mercury hosts
a May event where you, along with your family and friends,
will be able to view your child's skills in a special weekend
performance.
Thank you for
choosing Mercury Gymnastics. We look forward to having your
family become a part of our family.
If you refer
others to our gym and they fill out the referral box on the
registration form, we will send you a coupon for a free open
gym pass or $4off your child's tuition. This is just another
way to thank you for your support.
