Mercury Gymnastics
loves their customers!
Wow, what a year! Mercury and its programs are growing,
growing, GROWING - we are now totaling 900 students. We
have a great gymnastics staff and most of our classes
now have awesome assistants too. We have our wonderful
star wall for the children and continue to find many ways
to reinforce their hard work through our "incentive" board
and monthly calendars. Thanks again to our recreational
director, Beth Brake who continues to do a fantastic job
keeping our gymnasts active and having fun! Our competitive
teams are having an awesome year, placing at most of their
meets. The academic preschool is getting GREAT reviews
and will be hosting an open house this month. Much of
our growth is due to your loyalty and referrals. Thank
you again!
February...
February is the month of hugs and kisses. It
is the perfect time to celebrate and honor our friends
and family. Look for fun themes with our Tumblestar Preschoolers
as they bring Teddy Bears to class and wear RED. We will
be working on sharing, caring and being KIND! The best
way to teach children how to care for others is to treat
them with love and kindness so they learn to give in return.
Talk to your child about ways to help, speak, or play
with others. (You will hear us talking about this a lot
in classes) Participating in activities together as you
do something special for someone shows the importance
of treating others with kindness and gentleness! KINDNESS
STARTS WITH ME….PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!
Weather….Weather….Weather
Remember when the Park Hill School Districts cancels after
school activities or school, Mercury Gymnastics will also
cancel all preschool and recreational classes. Fortunately,
Mercury Gymnastics, unlike other competitive sport programs,
gives our customers 2 opportunities to make up these missed
classes…either making up in another comparable class or
getting a Power Hour Friday pass. Unlike last winter,
mother nature has treated us very well. Maybe, our kids
will even get out of school in May as scheduled! Thank
you for your support and understanding with our cold weather
policy.Remember when the Park Hill School Districts cancels

Early Exercise Pays Off
Physical activity early in life may help protect children
from excessive fat gains later in childhood…even if their
activity level drops off. Scientists at the University
of Iowa studied 333 children first at age 5 and then again
at age 8 and 11. They found that the more active the kids
were when they were young, the less body fat they had
later on. Remember…physical activity…whether it be gymnastics,
dance or other sports is so important to do year round.
